Globe valves, also known as shut-off valves, are the most widely used valves. The reason why they are popular is that the friction between the sealing surfaces during the opening and closing process is small, durable, the opening height is not high, easy to manufacture, easy to maintain, not only suitable for low and medium pressure, but also suitable for high pressure.

The closing principle of globe valve is to make the disc sealing surface and the seat sealing surface closely adhere to prevent the flow of media by relying on the pressure of the valve bar.

Cut-off valves allow only one-way flow of media and are directional when installed. The structure length of the globe valve is longer than that of the gate valve. At the same time, the fluid resistance is large, and the sealing reliability is not strong when the globe valve runs for a long time.

Plunger globe valve: This form of globe valve is a variant of conventional globe valve. In this valve, the disc and seat are usually designed on the basis of plunger principle. The valve disc is polished into a plunger connected with the valve stem, and the seal is realized by two elastic sealing rings sleeved on the plunger. The two elastic sealing rings are separated by a ring, and the sealing rings around the plunger are firmly pressed by the load applied on the valve cover by the cover nut. Elastic sealing rings can be replaced, and can be made of a variety of materials. The valve is mainly used for "on" or "off", but has a special form of plunger or special ring, and can also be used to regulate flow.
